"Raptor"  or  "Crack Rabbit"

Raptor came from Amazing's last litter.  Blink was bred to Drum but I sold all the puppies since I had so many buyers looking for deadgrass puppies and I have a hard time turning down a person looking for a wonderful puppy.   So since I didn't get my Drum puppy, I bred Amazing to Drum and she had only 4 puppies.  I decided to keep Raptor and co-own his sister Sadie.  Raptor took to birds early in life since he spent his first fall tagging along with the training group.  He'd play all day in his x-pen while the rest of us were training and then during clean up it was his turn to run around the field and play with the birds.  Problem was since he didn't have any obedience training it usually took till the end of clean up to get the bird back.  He'd run all over the field carrying the bird, even take it for a swim while we picked up the equipment.   By the end of the day I was too tired to work with him so day after day all he did was play with his duck.  The following summer at training camp started out like the previous fall, all play and no work.  So I asked Justin (Bob's new son-in-law) to work with him since I didn't have the time or energy.   Raptor didn't quite appreciate the new working arrangements and decided to escape when one of the helpers was airing him.  He just ran around the fields but wouldn't let anyone catch him, when Justin came home, Raptor came right back to him.  Raptor and Justin soon formed a solid working relationship and the rest of the summer went smoothly for both of them.  Raptor loved this new game of retrieving and returning with the bird.  Justin had to leave for college before the end of hunt test season so I ran Raptor in the fall hunt tests and Raptor quickly earned his junior hunter title.  I was so proud of how far Justin managed to get with Raptor.  To keep Raptors mind and body active his second winter we took an agility class and Raptor had a blast.  He's very fast and fearless on the course.  He's going to be a great agility dog with more experience and age.  He's a easy going boy that's always happy and always ready for action.  New Years eve 2013 Raptor got injured and had to come up into the house to heal, I so enjoyed having this little boy in the house he stayed all year inside until the Florida Invitational in December of 2014 when I'd be gone for a week and could send him back outside so he'd grown better coat for showing.  He's been a great house dog and I really like his loving willing to please attitude.  Looking forward to working with him in the future in conformation, agility and hunting.  He's a Tigger grandson and has big paw prints to fill.  Raptor earned three of the four legs for his senior hunter test at the Buckeye Retriever Club and American Chesapeake Club tests fall of 2014.   Raptor is one of my favorite house dogs and will be spending the winter sleeping on the bed.  Raptor decided to try his jumping style at dock diving and he was a favorite of the crowd.  He soared and earned his senior and his master dock diving titles the same weekend.  Since Raven was invited to the National in Florida I took Raptor to see if he could qualify.  They take the top 10 after the 5 days of qualifying jumps and Raptor tied for tenth place, so he got to jump.  He wasn't jumping his best and I wasn't sure how the finals would go.  He tried his hardest and finished in second place for the senior division.  I was so excited, second place for the whole country, every breed.

Raptor earned his Junior Hunter title October 11, 2011 at the American Chesapeake Club Hunt test.
Raptor finished his Senior title at the Greater Pittsburg Labrador Hunt Test June 21, 2015
Raptor earned an AKC Dock Master title on August 1, 2015.
Raptor earned 2nd place in the senior division at the 2015 Eukanuba Invitational Dock Diving Nationals in Orlando Florida.
Raptor earned his lure coursing title on August 28, 2016.
