Red Hawk

Red Hawk finished her championship on May 28, 2010 at the Holland Michigan Kennel Club dog show at Kalamazoo MI. Thank you Cheri Schmitz for handling her.

"Red Hawk" started her show career at the 2006 Chesapeake National by taking second place in 9-12 month old sweepstakes her first time in the show ring. In March of 2008 she went Best Of Breed at the Western PA Kennel association show. Red Hawk completed her Novice Agility Standard title at the Cleveland All Breed Training Club agility trial on April 26, 2008. Red Hawk also earned that weekend, two of the three required legs for her Novice Agility Jumpers with Weaves title and completed the title on July 12, 2008 at the Cleveland All Breed Agility Trial in North Olmsted, Ohio. She can't decide which she loves best, to retrieve, to show, to run agility or just hang out on the bed watching tv (beware of the Red Hawk squiggle wiggle). She is so fun to work with, always gives her all and has fun doing whatever you ask of her. Red Hawk had puppies sired by Tigger on March 8, 2009, six boys and two girls. Adele was especially excited about this breeding and kept a red headed male puppy "Jaguar" (see his page). Red Hawk earned her senior hunt title at the American Chesapeake Hunt test on September 27, 2009. Red Hawk completed her championship on May 28, 2010. Red Hawk had her second litter on December 29. 2010, she was bred to Redlion's Notorious MH**. I kept one beautiful red dark deadgrass girl and named her Red Raven (see her page for information). During 2011 Red Hawk concentrated on agility and earned her Open title on May 15, and her Open Agility Jumpers title on September 1, 2011. During the summer she worked on her hunting training and earned the first leg toward her master hunter title. Red Hawk was bred to Ice Man early in 2012 but didn't take so her repeat breeding was done in July and she had 7 puppies on September 29th 2012. Red Hawk had once final litter born November 18, 2013 sire Pond Hollow Encore and I kept one beautiful little girl "Treasure Lake Ray's Red Coyote". Due to two injuries I had, Red Hawk had to take some time off from competing and will be back in the agility ring this winter 2014/2015 to work on her advanced titles and next summer hopes to complete her master title. One of Red Hawks daughters already has her master title. But right now she's content to be the best wiggle squiggle bed dog she can be. Red sustained damage to her kidneys early 2015 and although she gave it all the courage a chessie can give she couldn't recover from the damage and we had to put her down way too soon. I know you would rather be running agility and chasing birds then feeling sick and laying around, so I hope when you crossed the rainbow bridge you are enjoying your favorites once again. Greatly missed by all. You didn't finish all that you were capable of but left us with three great daughters and one fantastic son to carry on your legend.
